What is a MBR Partition Table?
The Master Boot Record (MBR) disk uses the standard BIOS partition table, which is a special boot sector at the beginning of partitioned storage devices. It contains information on how logical partitions, with file systems, are organized on the medium.

If the MBR is deleted or removed, the entire hard drive becomes inaccessible, as the system can't find the partitions. It's recommended to back up important files before making any changes.
How to Remove MBR Partition Table in Windows XP/7?
You can delete MBR partition or GPT partition table using freeware like FDisk or GDisk, but to remove MBR, you have multiple solutions. You can also completely wipe the entire hard drive, including all existing partitions, hidden partitions, and MBR, for a fresh start. Alternatively, if you replace the MBR disk with a larger one, such as a 4TB drive, you can convert the MBR partition table to GPT for better management. How to Remove MBR Partition Table via CMD?
To run Diskpart, open Command Prompt by pressing the Windows + R key combination to start the Run box. From there, you can delete an internal hard disk's MBR partition, for example, by following the necessary commands in the Command Prompt.
- To access the Diskpart utility, type "diskpart" in the Run box, press Enter, and then run the Command Prompt as an administrator.
- Type "list disk"
- To convert a disk to a different file system, you would type "select disk X", where X is the number of the disk you want to convert.

- Type "convert gpt".
- Type "exit" to exit the Command Prompt
