Universal Restore is a feature provided by Qiling Disk Master that allows you to restore a system backup image to a computer with dissimilar hardware. To perform a universal restore in Windows, you need to use Qiling Disk Master Professional or higher editions. The steps are as follows:
Step 1. Create a system backup image of the source computer using Qiling Disk Master. Make sure the backup image is stored on an external hard drive, network location, or other accessible storage device.
Step 2. Create a bootable media (USB drive or CD/DVD) using Qiling Disk Master. This will be used to boot the target computer with different hardware.
Step 3. Connect the external hard drive containing the system backup image to the target computer. Boot the target computer from the bootable media.
Step 4. In the Qiling Disk Master WinPE environment, select the Restore tab and choose the system backup image you want to restore.
Step 5. Select the destination disk on the target computer where you want to restore the system image.
Step 6. In the Operation Summary window, check the "Universal Restore" option. This will ensure the restored system can boot on the different hardware.
Step 7. Click Proceed to start the universal restore process. After completion, remove the bootable media and restart the target computer. The system should now boot successfully on the new hardware.
