How to add gmail mailbox for email backup in Qiling Disk Master
When you use Qiling Disk Master to back up gmails, you need to add Gmail mailboxes to Qiling Disk Master first. Please follow the steps below to add Gmail to Qiling Disk Master.
1. In the left tab page, select “Backup” followed by “File Backup”.
2. Click “Email Data”.
3. Type into the related parameters of Gmail. Select destination to save data and click 'Proceed' button to backup email data.
Email Account: Please continue to type into the Gmail address.
Password: Please type the App Password of your Google account in here.
To enable the app password, please follow the steps below:
1. Log in to your Google account first, and then click "Manage your Google Account".
2. Click "Security"-->"Recent security activity".
3. Then, you can select the app and device you want to generate the app password.
Tips: Please first enable "Two-factor verification" if you still do not enable it.
4. Once it is generated, you can check the generated app password.
IMAP Server: IMAP stands for Internet Message Access Protocol, a type of Internet protocol. It is used to access emails stored on the server. Its main function is that mail clients can get mail messages from mail servers and download them through IMAP protocol. The imap server for this option will automatically match the user's mailbox format.
Port: The mailbox port for this option is also automatically matched to the user's mailbox format.
Tips: If you need to use Proxy, you can enable “Proxy Settings” to set Proxy based on your needs.
