MicroSD cards, a small storage medium, have become widely used due to their compact size and merits. They come in various capacities, with 128GB being a common size, offering a relatively large storage space to store files, photos, music, videos, documents, and more.
The microSD card, like any other storage device, has its own set of advantages and disadvantages. However, it has two main drawbacks.
Transferring data from a microSD card to a laptop can be done manually or automatically using the File sync feature, which is more efficient for large amounts of files.
With file sync software, you can easily transfer files from a microSD card to your computer. Qiling Disk Master Standard is one such software that allows you to sync files, including documents, photos, and videos, to your laptop, desktop, network, NAS, or cloud drives.
Unlike file backup, file sync creates no image files, allowing you to view your content at any time after syncing. Synchronized files have no difference from the source files, and the Schedule Sync feature enables automatic syncing at your chosen interval, whether daily, weekly, or monthly.
To transfer data from an SD card to a computer, you can use a freeware that supports Windows 11/10/8.1/8/7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP. The software allows for easy and simple file synchronization. Alternatively, server users can try Qiling Disk Master Server.
To copy files from an SD card to a computer, first connect the microSD card to your laptop. Ensure the memory card is detected by your laptop, and you have two methods to do this: either insert the microSD card into an SD card reader connected to your laptop or directly insert the microSD card into your laptop's SD card slot, if available. Once the card is detected, you can proceed with copying files from the SD card to your computer.
#1: Connect microSD card to laptop with card reader.
#1: Connect microSD card to laptop without card reader.
After transferring files, pictures, or videos from your microSD card to your computer, the computer will recognize your SD card. This allows you to continue transferring files, pictures, or videos from the SD card to the computer.
Step 1. Install and launch Qiling Disk Master Standard. Then, click File Sync under Backup and recovery tab.
Step 2. The Task Name can be modified by your needs. Choose Folder to select your files on the microSD card.
Tip: To sync files with specific extensions, such as .doc, .xls, .ppt, .temp, .bak, and others, click the funnel-shaped button and directly type in the file extension you want to exclude or include.
Step 3. Select a location, such as D:\, as the destination path to store files, and set a schedule, such as daily, weekly, or monthly, then click Proceed.
Notes:
To easily transfer data from a microSD card to a laptop, you can use file sync software like Qiling Disk Master Standard. This allows you to run a task schedule and automatically sync files, ensuring you don't miss any changes made later, and can even sync specific file extensions in a short time.
With this practical utility, you can sync files in any location, including My Documents, a network folder, Google Drive, OneDrive, and more, as long as your computer recognizes the device, helping you keep your data safe and up-to-date.
