What Is Lenovo OneKey Recovery

Lenovo OneKey Recovery is a one-key backup and recovery application built into Lenovo computers, which creates a factory image by default, and can also be used to back up the system to a new hard drive or the current disk, including newly installed programs, drivers, and data.

Lenovo OneKey Recovery creates two types of backup images: one that restores the system to its factory settings and another that restores it to a previously saved status. In case of a system crash or slowdown, it's recommended to restore from the user backup to avoid data loss.

How to Factory Reset Lenovo with System Recovery

To use Lenovo System Recovery, you need to get access to it, either from Windows or by booting your computer.

In Lenovo computer: Double-click the Lenovo OneKey Recovery icon to open it and select System Recovery.

To recover your Lenovo computer using the Novo button system, turn off the computer, press the Novo button (usually located next to the power port), and select System Recovery from the Novo Button Menu that appears.

About Lenovo System Recovery Not Working

Lenovo OneKey Recovery is a useful tool for restoring the system, but you may encounter issues with it not working properly, particularly if one of the following events occurs:

If Lenovo System Recovery is not working in Windows 10 or other systems, there are several solutions to try. To fix the issue, you can attempt the following steps.

✍ For the first event, you need to recreate the partition with Diskpart.

Type cmd in the search box and hit Enter to open it. Then, type the following commands one by one, clicking Enter after each command: dir, cd Windows, cd System32, dir, and type notepad.exe.

Step 3. Select a partition for the recovery partition and click Proceed to create a system image for your Lenovo computer.

Note: To ensure a successful backup, the free space of the partition used to create the Qiling Recovery Partition must be larger than the used space of partition C. If this condition is not met, the backup process may be compromised.

Step 4. When the whole process is complete, you can set up the shortcut (F11 or A key) to enter Qiling recovery environment by clicking the Setting icon at the upper right corner.
